The Blueair 4o3 is lacking the digital display system and a remote control of the 470E. The speed settings are changed manually at the front of the unit.

Just as the 270E the Blueair 203 uses Blueair's patented HEPASilent™ technology. This filtration technology is a combination of mechanical and electrostatic filtration, and allows the Blueair 203 to deliver more clean air at a faster rate with less noise then any other domestic air purifier. Blueair's HEPASilent™ technology allows the Blueair 203 to have an exceptionally low energy consumption.

Filtration Technology

Just like all other Blueair air purifiers, the Blueair 203 uses a Three-Stage Progressive Filter. The filter is made up out of three different levels of millions of ultra thin fibers. Large particles such as pollen and dust are captured by the Blueair 203 in its first filter layer. Small and ultra small particles such as bacterias and exhaust are captured by the second and third filter layer.

This Three-Stage Progressive filter design prevents the Blueair 203 filters from clogging up prematurely and allows the 203 to perform longer on its peak performance.

Regular air purifier filters are thinner and mostly consist of the same fiber size and filter material through out, which leads them to clog up sooner then the Blueair 203 Three-Stage Progressive Filter.

The Blueair 203 air purifier can also be used with the 200 Series SmokeStop HEPA replacement filter, which adds 0.9 kg of activated carbon for odour and gas filtration.
