The Blueair 203 Slim Air Purifier is the new and more narrow design of the Blueair 200 Series air purifiers. It is ideal for small rooms and offices. It uses Blueair's typical 'HEPASilent' filter technology, a powerful ioniser and an Energy Star-rated motor to clean your air faster, and with less noise than other units in its class. It is effective in removing a large range of pollution and allergens such as dust, pet dander, dust mite allergens, pollen, mould spores and more.
The Blueair 203 Slim air purifier is a great choice for everyone who wants more control over their indoor air quality and who want to breathe cleaner air at a great price.

1. Easy to Operate
The Blueair 203 air filter does not have the digital display system and remote control of the 270E model. The speed settings are changed manually with a speed dial at the front of the unit.
- 2. & 3. Ultra Quiet
Just as the 270E, the Blueair 203 air purifier uses Blueair’s "HEPASilent technology" eventhough not actual 'HEPA' filtration. This filtration technology is a combination of mechanical and ionisation, and allows the Blueair 203 to deliver more clean air at a faster rate with less noise than most other domestic air purifier in this class. Blueair’s filtration technology also allows the Blueair 203 to have especially low energy consumption.
- 4. Design & Durability
The Blueair 203 air cleaner has the sleek and contemporary look that Blueair air purifiers are famous for. It is built with a galvanised steel housing that is impact resistant and easy to clean.
Below is a comparison table which shows what the differences are between the Blueair 200 series range of air purifiers.
The Blueair 203 - as all other Blueair air purifiers - uses a Three-Stage Progressive Filter – a filter that resembles having many filters in one.
This filter is not actually a HEPA filter (eventhough it is called "HEPASilent") and is made up out of three different levels of ultra thin fibers, and with its ‘lock-in’ design capturs particles. The first layers capture larger particles like pollen and dust, and the later layers capture smaller particles like bacteria and exhaust particles.
Regular mechanical air purifier filters are often thinner and mostly consist of the same fiber size and material throughout, which leads to them clogging up sooner. However, the filter design of the Blueair 203 "Three-Stage Progressive Filter" prevents the filter from premature loading, and allows the 203 air purifier to have a longer filter life. Blueair recommends to change the filter every 6 months.
When the filter needs to be replaced, just open the back, take out the old filter and put the new one in. No screws, hooks or tools are needed. It is as simple as taking a book out of a bookshelf.
The Blueair 203 air purifier can also be used with the 200 Series SmokeStop replacement filters, which adds 0.9kg of activated carbon for odour and gas filtration.
