Dr. Susan Aldridge

She has worked as the Medical Editor of Focus magazine and as the European News Reporter of Genetic Engineering & Biotechnology News, the New York based leading trade journal for the biotechnology industry. She was the Resident Medical Journalist at HealthandAge.com from 2001 - 2011, writing a daily medical and health news column. Currently, she works for Diabetes UK as a Freelance Consultant, and is an occasional contributor to Nature Biotechnology and Pharmafocus.
Susan has written, or contributed to, many popular science and medical books including 'The Thread of Life: the story of genes and genetic engineering' and 'Magic Molecules: how drugs work' (both Cambridge University Press). Most recently she has contributed to Dorling Kindersley's award-winning 'The Brain Book' (ed. Rita Carter). Susan's 'Use Your Brain to Beat Addiction' (Cassell) was short-listed for a Medical Journalists Association book award.
Susan has been working with Allergy Cosmos since August 2010.
